Mr Selvanayagam is the sole Non-Executive, Independent Director of Castlemaine Gold Pty Ltd.
Mr Selvanayagam was appointed to the LionGold Board as a Non-Executive Independent Director on 4 January 2010. He is the Chairman of the Remuneration Committee and a member of the Audit Committee and the Nominating Committee.
He is a professionally qualified accountant with more than 30 years of management experience. He was President of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, Malaysia Division, from 1996 to 1998. He was awarded the Institute’s Bronze medal for his contribution to the Institute and the profession at large. He has worked for and managed multinational and local companies in Asia and Australia and held directorships in Singapore, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Australia and South Africa.
He serves as a Director of Mitrajaya Holdings Bhd, which is listed on Bursa Malaysia. Mr Selvanayagam also served on the Council of the Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers for a number of years and was the Chairman of the Audit Committee and Deputy Chairman of the Malaysian Food Manufacturer’s Group.

Stephen is a Mining Engineer who has had over 30 years of experience in the mining industry, of which more than 20 years were held at Manager and General Manager levels of underground and open pit mining operations.
Stephen has strong experience in operational and management positions, having worked on gold, nickel sulphide, nickel laterite, copper, uranium, zinc, lead and silver projects.
Stephen also holds a First Class Underground Mine Manager’s Certificate of Competency and is a 30-year member of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy.

Matt has worked in the mining industry for over 12 years gaining experience in Base Metals in Queensland and Gold in Central Victoria. He has developed a passion for Victorian narrow vein nuggetty gold deposits having spent 8 years working as an underground mine geologist at Unity Mining’s Kangaroo flat Mine in Bendigo and the CGT Ballarat mine.
He is a Member of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (AusIMM) and the Australian Institute of Geoscientists (AIG).
